Grounded in Micah 6:8, this camp focuses on how to be God’s hands and feet in a world that needs to see Him. Campers will grapple with real world issues of poverty, equality, advocacy, inclusion, and social justice from a Christian worldview. Through a series of visiting different social service agencies, campers will engage in hands on learning about the profession of social work and social issues within the community. Campers will practice basic active listening counseling skills, case management, and participate in a service-learning project.

The Pre-College Academy Summer Institute allows motivated high-school students to earn college credit in a Christ-centered academic community while learning directly from DBU professors. Through rigorous coursework grounded in a biblical worldview, life on DBU’s campus, or on an academic trip to New York, students grow intellectually, spiritually, and personally while gaining clarity and confidence for college.

Teaching All Learners welcomes campers considering a career in teaching as we explore what makes each learner unique and how disciples of Christ can respond to the Imago Dei (image of God) in every learner. Join us for hands-on learning as we discover how the brain is designed, how our experiences form us, and what happens physically, emotionally, and mentally when someone learns something they love. Through on-campus experiences as well as collaboration with community partners, campers will get the chance to see teaching and learning from a new perspective. The camp is open to all aspiring teachers, no matter the grade level or subjects of interest.

The last thing any high schooler wants is to start their senior year trapped in a cycle of writing, revising, and rejecting one unsuccessful college essay after another. From picking a suitable topic to writing with purpose and then revising, we will move from not-even-started to ready-to-submit. If you’re the type of student who wants to cross the college essay off their To-Do List quickly and confidently, this class is for you. Expect to meet formally on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Tuesday and Thursday will be used for individual conference times.

Under the direction of Westminster Choir College's teaching artist faculty, this one-week program draws students from across the country and around the world. Open to students entering 9th grade through those who have just graduated high school, all students will sing in the Institute Choir under the direction of Vinroy Brown. Participants will receive training in conducting, choral performance and literature, interpretation of solo repertoire, technique, and voice science.

Solo Vocal Artist is an excellent summer opportunity for dedicated young classical singers to explore the many facets of developing their art. The program provides personalized hands-on instruction for each student. Working daily with the distinguished voice faculty of Westminster Choir College, you will experience life at a music college. Having 27 years of history, It creates an intense but supportive environment, empowering you to pursue your future goals. The alumni include professional classical singers, young artist singers, and devoted school teachers.

Engage with current faculty and practicing pharmacists, view experiments in the lab and interact with current students to find out what it’s like to be a pharmacy student at UMKC. Join us for a one-day, fun-filled pharmacy camp in June! Take part in making actual medicine in the compounding lab. Hear from community pharmacists about their daily roles. Interact with clinical pharmacists in specialty practices such as oncology, pediatrics, cardiology, emergency room and more. Learn from School of Pharmacy faculty and students about what it's like to be a member of UMKC at all three campus locations.

Leave it all on the court this summer! Tennis participants will focus on fine-tuning and improving groundstrokes, serves, returns, volleys, and other specialty shots. Instruction on advanced shots as well as strategy and tactics used in both doubles and singles will be taught through competitive situations and point play. Participants will be instructed by Saint Mary's coaching staff and student-athletes. On the last day of camp, parents/guardians are invited to watch the final camp tournaments and award ceremonies. Additionally, participants will join in fun evening activities, meet new friends, and experience life on a college campus!

With a focus on Drum Set and World Percussion, students will receive hands on instruction from world class performers and educators. Topics and styles covered include: Cuban, Brazilian, Rock, Pop, West African, Jazz, Musical Theater, Odd Meter, Gospel, Funk, Latin. Campus housing is an additional $150.

The 2025 UMSL String Camp will be a three-day workshop held in the beautiful Touhill Performing Arts Center, offering string orchestra, instrument technique classes, guided practice sessions, and masterclasses. \

Bacteriophages are tiny phage viruses that attack bacteria, and are useful in human medicine. A huge, invisible world of phage viruses are yet to be discovered. We explore or campus in search of these novel phages. We purify, visualize, and characterize new phages as part of an ongoing research project. Join us for a week of authentic scientific research in the field and at the laboratory bench alongside college professors as we explore the fascinating world of phage viruses and microbiology.
