This class will teach the fundamentals of theatre to children ages 10-12 years old. They will learn concepts such as projection, audition skills, improvisation, memorization, performing in front of peers, diction, confidence, teamwork, characterization, and so much more. We will spend class time learning these foundational concepts concurrent with rehearsals for the show in which this class will culminate. Students will benefit from this class through not only all of the skills they will obtain in relation to theatre, but also, real life interactions, empathy, and collaboration. (Ages 10-12)

Improv Comedy is a performance art where actors play games and create scenes based on audience suggestions. Players are challenged to think quickly and make things up on the spot! It’s a great way to sharpen listening skills, learn teamwork and collaboration, practice public speaking, and laugh! The coach will teach campers about Scene Building, Character Work, Object Work, and Group Games. Previous performing experience is not necessary. Come and have FUN!

This camp is a course in improvisation and character development. We will cover the basics of improvisation by developing scenes and characters with little to no preparation through engaging games and activities. Our goal is for our campers to gain confidence on the stage and make informal acting choices without a given script. There will be a short showcase at the end of the week for friends and family.

Step into someone else’s shoes. In this camp, actors will explore fun, hands-on exercises that teach them how to build strong characters from the inside out. Campers will learn to see the world through their characters’ eyes and make bold, believable choices on stage. Registration deadline is JUL 20. (15 Min/25 Max)

This new program is offered exclusively to 6th - 9th grade students! Critters & Crypts is our weekly Dungeons & Dragons group. Journey on quests with a nature-based flair, using characters and dice. No experience is required. Dice and characters are provided. This is a primarily indoor program. Each session is 8 weeks. Limited to 8 students.

Summer theater kids will be excited to participate in the world of Minecraft at StagePlay Learning! Explore the strange, supernatural and comedy of the characters and themes of Minecraft through group work and improv theater games. Daily crafts will magically turn into props and sets for our Final Showcase Performance. This creative camp creates opportunities for young theater performers to write and collaborate while learning Life Skills through Theater Skills.

Campers will create original characters, travel through enchanted settings, and discover how stories connect through teamwork and creativity. This camp emphasizes playful exploration and expressive acting while encouraging students to make bold choices and support one another as an ensemble. Designed to feel magical and accessible, this camp is ideal for both first-time performers and returning students who love fantasy, pretend play, and brining imaginative worlds to life.
