In this class, our students will discover sound exploration, ensemble development, and creative play through music. Preschoolers will enjoy the fun of music-making while boosting all areas of learning.

Students will work on developing proper vocal techniques through vocal warm ups, breath support exercises, and proper sound production. Students will simultaneously learn basic voice vocabulary and how to maintain proper vocal health, while learning the basics of music reading and ensemble singing.

Over five weeks, parents and children will enjoy 40-minute sessions filled with songs, stories, movement, and instrument play, nurturing children’s musicality and rhythm. Students will develop performance techniques while improving motor and communication skills. With personalized attention in an intimate classroom environment, students will learn some of the same pieces as our performing troupe. Unique within the St. Louis region, STAGES’ Access the Arts programs consist of classes, workshops and performance opportunities that enable area youth with physical, cognitive or developmental delays to fully participate in the musical theatre arts.

Students dance, draw, sing, and learn the basic language skills as they travel around the world. Working with a number of teaching artists, each day of camp explores a different country and region through various art disciplines, including dance, visual art, and drama.
