Please note: Half-day participants will focus primarily on technique in the mornings and will not take part in the end-of-week showcase, as choreography will be learned during the afternoon sessions. This intensive is an incredible opportunity to refine your skills, grow as a dancer, and fully immerse yourself in a focused and enriching dance experience. For the advanced-level dancer, this ballet class helps dancers maintain and nurture their ballet skills. Dancers will focus on keeping their technical skills sharp while maintaining endurance and strength. Recommend 3+ years of ballet experience.

Students will learn the fundamentals of several different styles of dance along with stretching, strength and conditioning of muscles, traveling steps across the floor, improvisation and ending with a fun combination of steps, for the parents to see on Thursday. (Ages 11-17) *Students should wear comfortable clothes that they can move in.

Get ready to move, express, and shine at our Dance Camp! Campers will explore the beauty of ballet and the creativity of contemporary/modern dance in a fun and supportive environment. Through engaging lessons, they’ll build strong dance techniques while learning to express emotions through movement. The week culminates in a magical performance set to beautiful music, where campers will showcase their new skills and creativity on the final day, June 5th. It’s a week of grace, passion, and unforgettable moments on the dance floor!

For Ballet Level 4, Level 5 and Intermediate Adults

Whether you want to perform or just move your body to relax your mind, you can experience the joy of dance in this camp as you learn multiple styles. You will learn choreography and feel the excitement and energy of an ensemble dancing together. Along the way, you will pick up a few skills and learn some historical tidbits about dance. Dance shoes are not required, but welcome.

For the beginner pointe dancer, this class helps dancers build and maintain strength and alignment in their feet and ankles in order to prepare for future pointe work. Proper ballet warm up is also an important part of maintaining and building pointe skills, so we require also attending our weekly ballet class beforehand.

Learn from SIUE Dance faculty and selected guest artists in modern, jazz, ballet, hip-hop, improvisation, composition, injury prevention, and repertory. The week culminates in an informal performance in the Metcalf Theater for invited friends and family.

Campers will learn three exciting routines in pom, jazz, and hip-hop while sharpening their technique, playing fun games, and building confidence for a show-stopping performance. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned dancer, this camp is perfect for all skill levels. Join us for an unforgettable week of music, movement, and memories!

Girls entering grades 2-8 in the fall of 2025 are invited for a 3-day dance camp. Camp will be taught by St. Joe Dance Coach, Amy Stumpf, who coached the SJA team to a State Championship in Hip Hop in 2023. Campers will also receive instruction from the 2024-2025 SJA Dance Team members. At camp, campers will be broken out by grade levels: students going into 2nd-3rd, 4th-5th, and 6th-8th. Each day, camp will begin with a fun warm-up and stretch. Next, each grade level group will learn a dance. Campers will learn a total of three dances throughout the week. On Wednesday before dismissal, the campers' families are invited to watch their campers perform the dances they have learned.

Beginner Ballet class for adults and teens, no previous experience required.

For Ballet Levels 6, 7, and 8, and open to Advanced Adults
