Step into the spotlight at our Theatre Camp! Campers will build confidence and performance skills through exciting games and exercises such as storytelling, improvisation, musical theatre dance, and acting. With guidance from experienced instructors, they’ll collaborate to rehearse and perform One Act Plays to showcase to family and friends on the final day (June 13th). Camp fee covers the cost of all materials and a commemorative t-shirt that the campers will wear in the showcase. It’s a session full of creativity, teamwork, and fun, ending with a show-stopping performance you won’t want to miss!

Metro Theater Company and Saint Louis University invite high school students to explore advanced acting, movement, improvisation, stage combat, and audition techniques with professional theater artists! Students will have access to SLU’s college level facilities as they create original work and perform scenes and monologues. Students will also have the opportunity to attend workshops with Metro Theater Company's staff. All skill levels are welcome. Lunch will be provided daily by SLU dining. There will be a performance for family and friends on the last day of camp.

This class will teach the fundamentals of theatre to children ages 13-18 years old. They will learn concepts such as projection, audition skills, improvisation, memorization, performing in front of peers, diction, confidence, teamwork, characterization, and so much more. We will spend class time learning these foundational concepts concurrent with rehearsals for the show in which this class will culminate. Students will benefit from this class through not only all of the skills they will obtain in relation to theatre, but also, real life interactions, empathy, and collaboration. (Ages 13-18)
