This camp is a course in improvisation and character development. We will cover the basics of improvisation by developing scenes and characters with little to no preparation through engaging games and activities. Our goal is for our campers to gain confidence on the stage and make informal acting choices without a given script. There will be a short showcase at the end of the week for friends and family.

Step into someone else’s shoes. In this camp, actors will explore fun, hands-on exercises that teach them how to build strong characters from the inside out. Campers will learn to see the world through their characters’ eyes and make bold, believable choices on stage. Registration deadline is JUL 20. (15 Min/25 Max)

This class will teach the fundamentals of theatre to children ages 13-18 years old. They will learn concepts such as projection, audition skills, improvisation, memorization, performing in front of peers, diction, confidence, teamwork, characterization, and so much more. We will spend class time learning these foundational concepts concurrent with rehearsals for the show in which this class will culminate. Students will benefit from this class through not only all of the skills they will obtain in relation to theatre, but also, real life interactions, empathy, and collaboration. (Ages 13-18)

From improvisation to scene study to physical choices, during our week together we’ll have fun learning advanced acting techniques to bring vivid characters to life on stage. Students will gain specific skills and build knowledge from theatre faculty and through peer analysis that will help them prepare for their next audition or role.
