A night of faith, fun, food, and fellowship for Teens!

Campers are inspired by their favorite female pop and rock musicians like Ariana Grande, Beyoncé, and Taylor Swift as we select and learn a pop music number and create and rehearse choreography. Features multiple professional teaching artists to present a variety of arts disciplines.

Where music meets acting! A great song is more than notes and lyrics, it is a story waiting to be told. Acting the Song helps performers learn how to connect emotionally, make strong character choices, and transform a musical selection into a compelling performance. Through guided exercises, individual feedback, and performance opportunities, students will explore how to interpret lyrics, discover character motivation, and develop the confidence needed to deliver authentic and engaging musical theatre performances.

Hip Hop using free-style movement based on the latest and older styles, while incorporating jazz technique. Musical theatre this dance class takes the aspects of jazz dance by adding a little acting into it. Students will learn about broadways most famous music, and learn how to dance as if they were on a broadway stage. If you are looking into acting or doing school musicals growing up this class will give you a leg up.

This drop-off program is taught by a Community Ed instructor.

Need a night out? We’ve got the kids covered! Drop the kids off for an evening of fun at The Loft at the Meyer Center! This supervised hangout gives kids the freedom to choose how they spend their evening while parents enjoy some well-deserved time to themselves. From creative crafts and fun board games to music, singing, dancing, and making new friends, there’s something for everyone. Kids are welcome to bring a favorite board game to share with the group. (Please leave digital gaming devices at home.) Our YMCA Arts & Humanities staff will provide a safe, welcoming environment where kids can relax, play, and have fun.

Join survivors of brain injury and family members for a few hours of fun. Camp activities include arts & crafts, games, and music, as well as enjoying nature and spending time with others. Participation is FREE and open for survivors of brain injury, family members, professionals, and the community.

Come join our therapeutic play group for children with Ds ages 6-10 years old where we build our gross motor skills with activities from the Special Olympics Young Athletes program, sing with Midwest Music Therapy, and, connect with other children with Ds and their caregivers.
