The students will get to explore many aspects of the science industry, including leadership and team building, exploring their own entrepreneurial ideas. Exploring STEM opens a world of possibilities and will encourage the next generation of leaders. Science is fun and it is OK to noisy and messy. Students will experiment with milk, soap and food coloring, snap circuits, Oreos and scales. And still more surprises. (Ages 8 – 11)

Join us as we dive into the wonderful world of Medical Imaging. Learn more about the role Radiologic Technologists play in the field of healthcare. We will cover topics such as qualities of technologists, required skills, surgery and mobile radiography, trauma imaging, modality advancement, and much more. There will also be time to look at unique radiographic images! Learn these skills from registered Radiologic Technologists with many years of experience in the field. (Ages 12-15)

Long after the nuclear apocalypse, your group of wasteland wanderers is searching for a way to purify the radioactive water you depend on. Some clues in an old computer have led you to this ancient, crumbling bomb shelter. Can you solve a scientific mystery and find the water purifier without triggering a meltdown or getting sealed in the vault… forever? Gather a team of 4-6 players and sign up together! (Ages 13 – 18)

This summer is the time to explore the field of nursing and our nursing camp is a great way to get started! Learn the qualities of a nurse, basic nursing skills, first aid, CPR training, and much more! Learn these skills from Professional Registered Nurses. (Ages 12-16)

Mizzou Engineering offers a variety of experiences for third graders through high school students who are interested in exploring the field and want to experience life as a Mizzou Engineer. Build an underwater robot that you will test in a pool on the last day of camp.

At NYFA’s 1-Week 3D Animation Camp, kids aged 10-13 tap into their imagination and explore the exciting world of animation. Students will get an introduction to Disney’s 12 principles of animation, then learn to apply these principles to their own work using the industry-standard software for today’s modeling and animation, Maya.

In this exciting, all-day summer camp, kids aged 10-13 discover a whole new dimension of gaming, and create their own unique content. Under the guidance of our faculty of professional game designers, students get the encouragement and tools to become creative and inventive storytellers, turning their own original game concept into a playable digital prototype.

Camp Nerd Street takes a unique approach to gaming through in-person video game and esports camps at our gaming and esports facility, Localhost. Our week-long summer experience offers a robust camp that allows kids who are interested in gaming to meet and engage with their peers in a fun and safe atmosphere. Our engaging and educational esports programs balance on-screen gameplay with off-screen activities to help kids think critically about gaming while participating in an active, social, and cognitive curriculum. Through a positive and supportive environment, we help young gamers build healthy gaming habits while developing their skills around teamwork, leadership, collaboration, and trust to inspire them to become the next generation of gamers. Each day campers take part in off-screen and on-screen activities such as video game trivia, relay race-style physical activities, friendly staff led tournaments, in game challenges, and more! Campers can play their favorite titles independently or join team games organized by the camp staff. Campers have access to play all age-appropriate games available at Localhost. A limited selection of staff-reviewed T for Teen games will be available such as Fortnite.

Buildings, Bridges & Maps, Oh My! Join us for an exciting architecture experience. In this camp we will design and create our own mini-buildings and structures. Ultimately, we will create our own city of found objects and everyday items.

Get out your magnifying glasses and detective hat; we have clues to decipher and crimes to solve. We’ll put our critical thinking skills and STEM knowledge to the test and get to the bottom of mysteries by learning the tricks real investigators use to solve cases.
