This camp will be held on the Dauphin Island Sea Lab campus at Dauphin Island, Alabama. Dauphin Island is a barrier island a short distance off the Alabama gulf coast, south of Mobile, AL.

Monday to Thursday at Christ Prince of Peace from 8 am to 11:30 am; Friday at Schroeder Park 8 am to 10 am. Registration available for 3 days, 4 days, and 5 days. Big River Running’s Cross Country Camp for 6th – 12th graders is a great way to get a jump start on the cross country season. Bring yourself or your whole team for a great week of training, the opportunity to meet other runners, the chance to learn from some of the best runners in the St. Louis area and, of course, to have a lot of fun! Campers will end the week feeling motivated and excited to reach their goals for the upcoming season. Highlights include: Training Runs & Workouts; Games & Bonding Activities; Informative Speakers; and Big River XC Challenge – The final day of camp will feature a fun cross country race. Campers will be divided into teams and the event will be scored just like in a real cross country race.

The Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine partners with the Auburn University Office of Professional and Continuing Education to offer Vet Camps each summer to youth interested in the veterinary medicine profession. Campers will learn about veterinary medicine first-hand in classrooms, laboratories, and outdoor facilities that include Auburn’s raptor, equine, dairy, beef, and swine units. Campers will learn about public health, food animals, wildlife, anatomy, imaging, and first aid, as well as gain valuable mentoring about veterinary science careers.

Students will meet go on fishing trips to a different lake or stream in the St Louis area. Transportation will be provided to and from Chaminade however, student can meet at the fishing spot if it is easier. Students must bring their own fishing gear and have a valid fishing license (if necessary). High School students will be on hand to assist any campers with fishing procedures. All fishing will be "catch and release". Although snacks will be provided at the camp students should bring a sack lunch.
